Sidney Idemudia
Sidney is the founder and CEO of Mudia Innovation Center (MudiaIC) and the Executive Director of Imhotep’s Legacy Academy (ILA) at Dalhousie University (DAL) in Halifax NS, Canada. Sidney is a Materials Engineering graduate from Dalhousie University. He is a believer of infusing hands-on or practical learning in the classroom to improve the learning capabilities and performance of students.
He is passionate about making his community a better place and as such, committed to contributing in making Nigeria a great country. He hopes to accomplish this by engaging Nigerian learners in STEAM activities that enables teenagers and youth to see themselves as inventors and game changers capable of innovative discoveries.
In 2017, Sidney was appointed by the Nova Scotian Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development to serve on the council of African Canadian Education board and serves on other volunteer boards. He is a leader, an entrepreneur and enjoys turning ideas into realities. “Education is the key to knowledge, which is an essential tool for success. By adopting this principle, I hope to inspire learners to understand the importance of education through our STEAM activities and learn to become a master of their career choices”.
